Getting Your Judicial Record (Casier Judiciaire) Online
Need a clean criminal record for a job or visa application? Here is how to request your Bulletin No. 3 via the digital portal.
A "Casier Judiciaire" (Judicial Record or Police Clearance Certificate) is a mandatory document for many administrative procedures in Algeria and abroad, including job applications, visa requests, and business registrations. Specifically, citizens usually request the Bulletin No. 3, which lists any criminal convictions (or confirms a clean record).
Previously, this required a visit to the local court (tribunal). Now, the Ministry of Justice has integrated this service into the digital ecosystem accessible via dzds.dz.
Steps to Request Your Casier Judiciaire
Before proceeding, ensure you have an active account. If not, follow our Registration Guide.
- Log In to the Portal: Access the official portal and sign in with your NIN and password.
- Navigate to Justice Services: Look for the section dedicated to the Ministry of Justice (Ministère de la Justice).
- Select 'Casier Judiciaire' (Bulletin No. 3): Click on the option to request your judicial record.
- Verify Identity via SMS: Because of the sensitive nature of criminal records, the portal usually employs Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered mobile number.
- Download the Document: Enter the OTP. If your record is clear, the system will immediately generate a digitally signed PDF of your Casier Judiciaire stating "Néant" (None).
Important Limitations
The digital extraction of the judicial record is generally only available to citizens who have a completely clean record. If you have past convictions that appear on your Bulletin No. 3, the digital system may not generate the document for security and privacy reasons. In such cases, the portal will usually display a message directing you to visit the physical court in person to obtain your record.
Additionally, if you are applying for a visa or foreign residency, check if the receiving country requires the digital printout to be physically stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. While the QR code proves authenticity in Algeria, foreign embassies may have specific requirements.
While exploring justice services, you can also look into obtaining your Certificate of Algerian Nationality online.
